Santa Claus and his magic elves

No Christmas fair would be complete without a visit to see Santa. Admission is just €2 per child and every child receives a special gift. Santa and his elves will be at the museum from 12pm to 1.30pm and from 2.30 pm to 4.30pm. Please note tickets must be purchased from the museum reception and are available from 11am on Saturday December 13. Make sure you get your tickets so all our younger visitors get to see the man in the red suit with the big white beard. Santa’s grotto will be in the museum galleries.

HSE Mayo staff launch Bronntanas Christmas project

HSE West’s primary community and continuing care staff in Mayo have launched the Bronntanas Christmas project for the fifth year running. Bronntanas is a group of HSE staff in Mayo, their families and friends and volunteers from various organisations, who come together in the weeks before Christmas to organise the giving of presents anonymously to children in families who are under financial strain. This is carried out under the guidance of the Childcare Department in Mayo HSE PCCC.

Santa warming up for Christmas at Briarhill Shopping Centre

Santa Claus is coming to town, and as part of his warm up for Christmas he has moved into his very own log cabin at the Briarhill Shopping Centre in Ballybrit. Santa will be at Briarhill from December 8 through to December 23 when he will return to Lapland to make the final checks for Christmas Eve.
